Is there a web hosting site that will allow me to build an online community?
My mother would like for me to design a web site for the family to access and communicate long distances. I was thinking about perhaps having more of an private online community where each family member can log in and perhaps chat online, leave messages on bulliten boards, read news updates, play games, etc.
Would yahoo offer something like that? I am a Graphic Design student, so designing the site is no problem. I just need a web hosting site to allow my to do so.

my suggestion would be to go to http://www.proboards.com/ or http://www.ezboard.com/ and open a free account. then set up your message board the way yo want it.
