Please help me editing this cover letter?
Dear Sir/ Madame,
I am writing to express my interest in joining your Graphic Design team. I see Bravo Media as being progressive and I look forward to the opportunity of being able to contribute to the company’s continued success.
I am a well-organized person and a responsible team player. My classroom and work experience have enabled me to gain an understanding of design principles, printing processes and production and various computer software. I am particularly interested in the activity of designing creative advertisements, packaging materials and publications.
I am eager to have an opportunity to interview with you, please call me on the number shown in the resume at your convenience.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Does that sound right? Is there anything that needs to be changed? Please help me, I really want to work there
Never use Sir/Madame. Do your research — clearly you know the name of the company you’re writing to — look up their website — find out the name of the hiring manager. If it isn’t state there, call them up or email them, asking for the name of the person doing the recruiting, and ask for his/her title (Mr., Ms., etc.). You should also try to incorporate a little about what you have found out about the company into your letter — doing this will convey your enthusiasm and commitment to getting the position.
In essence, try to customise each vober letter as much as possible to the position being applied.
In my opinion at least, you should try to cut down on your ‘I’s in the letter. You want your letter to centere around the emploter, not you.
Hope all that helped. If you still have questions, or need help writing your resume, email me at wongwords@gmail.com and I’ll do my best to assist you.
All the best!:)
